Bill-splitting
that doesn’t
suck.
Split the check at dinner without chasing Venmos for three days afterward. You scan the receipt. Your friends tap what they had from a text link. No app, no signup.
Free. No subscription. We never touch your money.
The differentiator
Your friends don’t need the app.
They get a text. They tap what they had. They pay. That’s the whole onboarding. No account, no download, no “verify your email.”
You’re the host. You scan the receipt, pick a theme, lock the tab when everyone’s in. Money moves through Venmo or Cash App. We never touch it.
What it isn’t
Not an accounting app.
Not a roommate ledger. Not another wallet. Not a place to track running balances for the rest of your life.
One night. One tab. Everyone pays. Done.
Questions
The short version.
- Do my friends need to download anything?
- No. They get a text. They tap what they had. That’s it.
- Does Dibs hold my money?
- Never. Payment goes straight from your friends to you on Venmo or Cash App. We never touch a cent.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. Dibs is free. No “pro” tier gating the features you actually use.
- What if the scan gets something wrong?
- You review and edit everything before you send. Fix prices, add items, delete phantom charges.
- Android?
- Not yet. NYC iOS first. Android comes after we’ve earned it.
